Why We Started

Honestly? We got tired of it. Every single RO site out there looks like it hasn't been touched since 2007. You know exactly which ones we're talking about. The ones plastered with Google spam ads that pop up over the content, banner buy sections that take over the entire page, and auto-playing video ads in the corner you can't close. You just want to look up a monster drop and suddenly you're navigating a minefield of ad garbage. And the "reviews" section? Obviously just the server owner rating himself 5 stars from different accounts. It's embarrassing that we're in 2026 and this is still what the RO community has to work with.

We've been playing this game on and off since we were kids. Kept coming back, kept being disappointed by the same recycled websites running on ancient code that nobody maintains anymore. The owners moved on years ago but left the site running because ad revenue still trickles in from people who don't know any better. That annoyed us enough to actually do something about it.

So yeah, we built this. From zero. No templates, no copying someone else's layout from 2007 that still uses table-based HTML like it's a school project. No slapping WordPress on a $5 hosting plan, installing three free plugins, and calling yourself a "web developer." Just us being stubborn enough to think we could do better than a community that somehow accepted the bare minimum for nearly two decades. Whether we actually did, you can judge for yourself. But let's be real, the bar was underground.

We're not gonna pretend we've been around forever. We launched in 2026 and we're growing fast. But here's what really pushed us over the edge: the other RO sites aren't just outdated, they're run by admins who act like they invented electricity. You know the type. Delete your review without any explanation, ignore every suggestion their community makes, and then wonder why nobody trusts them. They run their sites like a dictatorship with a dinosaur design and somehow still walk around like they're doing the RO community a favor. Spoiler: you're not. You're just the last ones standing because nobody bothered to replace you yet. Until now.

The database has 40,000+ entries and growing. The server rankings are real. The reviews aren't bought. We exist because we got treated in that same manner. We asked the other websites for a change, they refused or did not want to listen.

A Note for the Haters

We know exactly who you are. Most of you are people we banned from our servers for being toxic, and now you're sitting in your little Discord crying about it at 2 PM with the curtains closed. You got banned, you got mad, and now "reviewing our source code" is your entire personality. That's genuinely hilarious and also deeply sad at the same time.

Let's talk about the source code critics for a second. You opened DevTools, scrolled through some HTML, CSS, and JS, and now you think you're a senior engineer. That's adorable. You read front-end markup and called it "poor coding" like you just graduated from a three-week bootcamp. You saw minified production files and thought that was the actual development workflow. You don't even know the difference, and that tells us everything we need to know about your "expertise." The site runs fast, handles thousands of users, has a real database with 40,000+ entries, a full API, and actual infrastructure behind it. But sure, tell us more about how the HTML offended you.

"Clearly written by someone using AI." Right. Because a site with a custom API, a real database layer, server-side rendering, live deployment pipelines, and a full-stack architecture just appeared out of thin air because someone typed "make me a website" into ChatGPT. That's what you actually believe. AI is a tool, just like a hammer is a tool. A hammer doesn't build a house by itself, and AI doesn't build a platform by itself. The fact that you don't understand that says more about you than it does about us. You couldn't build this with AI, without AI, with a team, or with a billion-dollar budget. You just don't have it in you.

And then there's the money crowd. Our absolute favorites. Some of you actually flex your income in a Discord server about Ragnarok Online private servers. "I make 5k a month, I have a wife and kids." Congratulations. You make 5k a month and you're spending your evening in a gaming Discord writing paragraphs about a website you hate. Your wife is in the other room wondering why you're still on the computer, your kids are asking for attention, and you're over here telling strangers how much you earn while analyzing someone else's CSS. That is genuinely one of the funniest things we've ever read. If your life was really that great, you wouldn't be here. People with fulfilling lives don't spend their free time obsessing over websites made by people they claim to be beneath them. But here you are. Every single day.

"He's paying for AI credits with his mom's money!" Brother, you're a grown adult with a family supposedly making 5k a month, and THIS is how you spend your time? Making fun of someone for building something? You could be on vacation. You could be with your kids. You could be literally anywhere else. But instead you're refreshing our site looking for new things to complain about in your little Discord echo chamber. We don't need to roast you. Your own behavior does that better than we ever could.

The funniest part? Every time you screenshot our site, paste it in your little server, and write another paragraph about how terrible it is, that's free marketing. You're driving traffic to us while being mad about us. You are literally our unpaid marketing team and you don't even realize it. So please, keep going. Share this page too. Here's the reality check: we built something. You didn't. We put it online for thousands of people to use. You sat in Discord and complained. We wake up and push updates. You wake up and check if we pushed updates so you can complain about those too. That's the difference between us and you. We build. You watch. And deep down, that eats you alive.

Let's do a quick comparison since you love talking so much. I run 6 Discord servers with over 1,000 people in each. I built my own tools. I created the top ranking site in the RO community. I opened RateMyRagnarok. I launched a WoW server. I run 3 Ragnarok servers. All by myself. One person. What do you have to show for? Seriously, what? And then you come in here flexing that you make 5k a month like that's supposed to impress someone. You set the bar really low if that's your peak. That's not the flex you think it is. That's just you telling the world your ceiling while I'm still building floors above it.
