Ring of the Wise King

Speak to Schwartzvalt Mechanic (mid_camp 197/237) outside the Alliance Headquarters. He tells you about the Ring of the Wise King and asks you to speak to the Arunafeltz Linguist on the second floor of the Alliance Headquarters.

Inside, up the stairs, find the Arunafeltz Linguist (mid_campin 168/82) in the room to the far right. He asks you to visit the Fairy and Giant on the fields and remember every single word they say. These are from the Finding a Fairy quest.

Talk to the Small Fairy (spl_fild02 34/223) and the Tree Giant (man_fild03 236/105). Return to the Arunafeltz Linguist and tell him their exact words. Each line goes in a separate dialog box. Talk to the Arunafeltz Linguist again (mid_campin 168/82). He tells you that he isn't able to make any sense of the languages.

Go talk to the Rune Midgart's Magician (mid_camp 147/256). He says he needs to hear the languages being pronounced. He had some assassins bury gems near the villages to record the spoken languages. He asks you to go retrieve the gems.

Talk to the Half Buried Gem (spl_fild02 26/218), near the Small Fairy, and attempt to dig it out. Several Thief Bugs will spawn; kill them. Repeat until you obtain a Red Jewel from it.

Talk to the Half Buried Gem (man_fild03 227/109), near the Tree Giant, and attempt to dig it out. Several Thief Bugs will spawn; kill them. Repeat until you obtain a Blue Jewel from it.

Return to the Rune Midgart's Magician (mid_camp 147/256) with the gemstones. He says he will extract the voices from the gems and send them to the Arunafeltz Linguist.

Return to the Arunafeltz Linguist (mid_campin 168/82). He says he has made amazing progress decoding the language, so much that he's unsure how to store all the data. He asks you to talk to Schwartzvalt Mechanic.

The Schwartzvalt Mechanic (mid_camp 197/237) says he needs a way to store the massive data and asks you to inquire with the Magician. The Magician says he needs an ore unlike any found in the old world. He asks you to find one on the Manuk fields.

Mine Unidentified Mineral from any Mysterious Rock on man_fild01. Coordinates: (180/170), (147/157), (114/174), (92/155), (170/318), (146/269), (118/238), (70/246), (64/197).

Return the Unidentified Mineral to the Rune Midgart's Magician. He works his magic on it. Wait a few minutes or keep talking to him repeatedly until you receive the gem with the injected data. He asks you to take it to the Schwartzvalt Mechanic.

The Schwartzvalt Mechanic says he needs at least an hour to build a machine that will translate the languages using the gem. Return in one hour (tracked in your quest log as "Language translation device").

Return to the Schwartzvalt Mechanic after one hour. He gives you the Ring of the Ancient Wise King and some EXP.
